A monumental and impressive piece dating from the late 19th century and constructed from oak. The piece has carved doors and drawer fronts with one of the doors hiding haberdashery style drawers. Each pedestal is supported by 4 lion claw paws as well as having panelling on each side. This means that the desk can be located in the middle of a room rather than against a wall due to it not having an unfinished rear.
It should be mentioned that this desk is incredibly heavy, large and awkward to move. In usual circumstances, the courier would need an additional person provided by the buyer at the delivery address to assist with unloading. Due to the size and weight of this piece, it would be sensible to suggest that the buyer provide 2 people to assist with unloading where possible. Please also double/triple check access dimensions as the courier may not always have the space for a return journey of the desk if it cannot fit inside the delivery location property.
The desk has some obvious wear and ring marks to the top as well as some light wear to the exposed corners and edges. Unfortunately, the piece also doesn’t have any supplied keys.
The desk measures 156cm L x 80cm D x 79cm H. The kneehole measures 58cmW x 59.5cm H at the narrowest positions.
